My research is situated at the intersections of Cultural History and Cultural Studies. My current work focuses on the imaginaries of mobility, community, fashion and style in the global digital city. I have also worked and published on urban imaginaries of modernity, digital humanities, e-learning, and memory and nostalgia in popular and digital culture. My publications include Wiener Chic: A Locational History of Vienna Fashion (Bristol: Intellect, 2013; co-authored with Susan Ingram), Historical Textures of Translation: Traditions, Traumas, Transgressions (Vienna: Mille Tre, 2012; co-edited with Susan Ingram) and Urban Imaginaries in the Asia-Pacific (Interasia Cultural Studies Special Issue, Vol. 9:4: Routledge, 2008; co-edited with Meaghan Morris and Caroline Turner).
